Shipping Policy HEADING_TITLE
When Will My Order Ship?
At TheFamilyHistoryStore.com we strive to process and ship in-stock items in the fastest time frame possible. Order processing times may vary due to availability of the items ordered at that time.  In-stock items usually ship within 24-72 hours. Exceptions to this policy may occur during our peak busy seasons such as Christmas or during special sales where our volume of shipments are higher than usual.  If an item you ordered has been discontinued or is not expected to be restocked in a timely manner you will receive a refund for that item.

How are shipping charges determined?
Orders (except frames, glass & framing accessories) are shipped via the United States Postal Service. Shipping rates are calculated by the US Postal Service based on the total estimated weight of your order (including packaging materials) and the destination zip code. The shipping options displayed to you during the checkout process are generated by the US Post Office. We do not furnish any of this information, we only display what is received directly from the US Postal Service. Orders under 14 ounces total weight will be given the option of First Class Shipping. Orders 14 ounces and over do not qualify for First Class shipping and must be shipped Priority Mail®. Media products such as bound books, CDs and DVDs qualify for Media Mail® rate. If every item in your shopping cart qualifies for Media Mail® rate this option will be presented during checkout. If you are purchasing both media and non-media items you may want to compare the difference between the total order being shipped together at regular rate or divided into 2 orders, one for media and one for all other items.

Prior to completing the checkout process you will have the opportunity to view shipping charges applied to your order. Orders are shipped from N Idaho Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. The rates and time frames displayed to you during the checkout process are provided directly from the US Postal Service. These time frames begin once the US Postal Service receives your package and does not include processing time in our warehouse.  Unusual delays caused by the US Postal Service are beyond our control. If your order must be received by a specific date you may wish to consider shipping your package by EXPRESS Mail® to ensure its timely delivery. Domestic EXPRESS Mail® is delivered in 2 days.

*Frame & glass orders (including framing accessories) are shipped UPS Ground directly from the manufacturer. Please allow 2-3 weeks for delivery of frame and glass purchases. Please provide a street address for frame & glass orders as they cannot be shipped to a Post Office box.

When will my order arrive?
In-stock items are usually shipped within 24-72 hours excluding weekends and holidays. We ship all orders via the US Post Office and most orders shipped Priority Mail® arrive at their destination within 2-3 business days after being shipped.  (Please note that this time frame of 2-3 days is not guaranteed by the Post Office, the US Postal Service states that they will make every attempt to delivery Priority Mail® packages in that time frame. In some instances it may take a day or two longer depending on the location or weather conditions). 

Express Shipping
EXPRESS Mail®
shipments to locations within the United States are delivered in 2 days from the time of shipment. Priority handling is given to all EXPRESS MAIL® shipments and every effort is made to ship EXPRESS MAIL® shipments the same day ordered (if order is received before 10 AM PST/PDT on a business day) or the very next business day if order is received on a weekend, holiday or after 10 AM (PST). If you have any questions about having an order shipped by Express Mail®  please call our toll free customer service number before placing your order.


IMPORTANT NOTICE:

EXPRESS Mail® shipments are shipped through the US Postal Service and signature is required upon delivery. This provides proof that your package was delivered in the time frame guaranteed by the US Postal Service and protects your valued package.

Waiving Signature Confirmation
You may request that signature confirmation be waived and we will inform the Post Offce of your request.  However, by waiving signature confirmation you are accepting full and complete responsibility for the package. You must submit a request for waiver of signature confirmation in writing by either emailing your request to customer service along with your name and order number immediately after placing your order or you may note your request in the comment section of the checkout process.
